The Department of Land Economy is offering a permanent role but we would consider a job share opportunity for the right candidates. The Department is looking for a hardworking and organised individual who is looking for a new challenge in their career to provide administration for its undergraduate programme and secretarial support for the Head of Department. Reporting to the Administrative Officer, you will undertake a wide variety of tasks from the initial point of enquiry for the Land Economy Tripos, the organisation of open days, timetables, meetings, student assessment and examination. You will be the sole point of contact for the Land Economy Tripos for departmental staff, students, University departments, colleges and external enquirers. As PA to the Head of Department you will be thoroughly organised and able to adapt and prioritise your day according to various targets and deadlines. You will handle all aspects of secretarial work for the Head of Department, dealing with a wide spectrum of topics to include but not limited to, managing the HoD's calendar, organising meetings, composing and dispatching letters and emails on behalf of the HoD, typing up HoD reports and preparing papers for the meeting of Board of Land Economy. We are looking for an ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work, strong organisational skills, and an eye for detail and accuracy. The ability to work accurately under pressure and to tight deadlines is vital at certain times during the academic year. Ideally you will have a strong working knowledge of University governance and policies.
