The Board of Electors to the Marks and Spencer Professorship of Farm Animal Health, Food Science and Safety invite applications for this Professorship from persons whose work is broadly connected with veterinary public health or food hygiene (including pathogen biology and host-pathogen interactions) to take up appointment on 1 October 2019 or as soon as possible thereafter.
Candidates will be internationally recognised in their field with an outstanding research track record. The candidate will have the vision, leadership, and enthusiasm to build and develop the type of leading research program commensurate with a research chair at the University of Cambridge.
Professorial duties include teaching, research, examining, supervision of graduate students and administration at both a departmental and university level. The Professorship will be based in Cambridge. A competitive salary will be offered.
