An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Department of Zoology's excellent cleaning team. Zoology is a dynamic, friendly and successful department that welcomes people from all over the world with wide ranging backgrounds and expertise. The goal of our cleaning team is to provide a consistently high standard of cleaning throughout all areas of the Department. These areas include, research and teaching laboratories, offices, communal areas, stairways, and toilets. We also encompass the outstanding Cambridge University Museum of Zoology.
Duties include, cleaning and polishing floors, vacuuming and cleaning carpets, porterage and some light maintenance tasks with occasional tearoom cover. A good standard of English is essential to be able to follow written and verbal instructions from supervisors, to read and understand the Departmental Health & Safety policies, user manuals and safety instructions regarding the proper use of our cleaning products and equipment. Due to the nature of the role, you will need to have a good level of physical fitness.
These are a full-time and permanent University of Cambridge positions. Hours of work will be Monday - Friday, 07:30 - 16:00 with opportunities for occasional over-time.
