NIHR BioResource for Translational Research is seeking a Data Repository Specialist, who will play a key role in the implementation of meta-data that will underpin the NIHR BioResource's operational model. This will include:
-Meta-data maintenance, validation, auditing, reporting and archiving
-Quality control and quality assurance, including the secure tracking of data
-Extraction, transformation, organisation and loading of incoming data from various sources
-Adapting, improving and implementing pipelines to accommodate various data types and demands.
-Implement and use meta-data standards.
-Identification and implementation of third party software tools
-Data protection, anonymisation and security
The role will also involve collaborating with BRCs/CRFs in the NIHR BioResource to implement effective data frameworks and policies.
The NIHR BioResource for Translational Research provides the major nationally-accessible resource of over 100,000 volunteers from the general population and patients with common and rare diseases, all of whom are willing to participate in and support medical and experimental research studies. Volunteers will have consented to be recalled according to their genotype and/or phenotype to participate in academic and industry-led experimental medicine and clinical research studies. NIHR BioResource aims to provide a unique and powerful resource for studying disease mechanisms and investigate the links between genes, the environment, health and disease, and will add another 200,000 volunteers by the end of March 2022.
