We are seeking a Research Excellence Framework (REF) Project Manager who is responsible for supporting the Unit of Assessment (UoA) Chair, Academic and Research staff and other Administrators, to set up and deliver the effective coordination and planning for all aspects of the Research Excellence Framework 2021 administration for Mathematics.
Based at the Centre for Mathematical Sciences, this role will take primary responsibility for the preparation of the Faculty of Mathematics' REF submission. You will be responsible for the project management of the submission, helping to shape and implement policy, as well as create auditable records for the submission, chase queries, create summaries and produce statistics.
You will be educated to degree or equivalent level in a subject that demands logical/structured reasoning. As you will need to engage and communicate effectively with all stakeholders, excellent written and oral communications skills are essential for this role, with an emphasis on precision and efficiency. Interviewing/consulting skills and teaching/coaching skills would be valuable for finding information and helping academics refine their contribution. The role also requires advanced IT skills and project management expertise.
The position is full-time however applications are also welcomed from candidates who wish to work part time (over 0.7 FTE). If applying part time, please state what hours and days are suitable.
