Applications are invited for the post of Graduate Administrator, in the Graduate and Clinical Academic Training Section in the School of Clinical Medicine.
This is a very varied and high profile role that is responsible for all aspects of the administrative support of the School's MRC Doctoral Training Partnership (DTP) awards. The post-holder is the key contact for all MRC-funded students within the School of Graduate Life Sciences, which encompasses the Schools of Clinical Medicine and Biological Sciences. The post-holder is the main administrator responsible for overseeing cohort activities and the smooth operation of the admissions and selection process for the DTP students, in collaboration with colleagues within the School and the wider University.
The post-holder also acts as Secretary for a number of trust fund management boards and administers the processes for the making of awards from those funds.
The role involves regular liaison with colleagues at different levels across the university and requires excellent liaison and communication skills. Good administration skills as well as the ability to prioritise effectively are essential as is a high level of numeracy and attention to detail and accuracy. Experience in finance (ideally in managing higher education funding awards) is desirable.
