Research Assistant/Associate (Fixed Term)


We are looking for a research associate to work with Professor Angela Roberts on 'Fractionating the functions of ventromedial prefrontal cortex of relevance to depression'. The main aim of this Wellcome Trust funded project is to identify the different functions of distinct regions of ventromedial prefrontal cortex and associated brain circuitry and determine how they relate to different symptoms of depression and how they are modulated by existing drug therapies; so as to target existing therapies more effectively, help discover new therapies and guide personalised treatment strategies.

The post is based at purpose-built facilities within the University of Cambridge. Applicants should either have, or will shortly be awarded a PhD in behavioural neuroscience or related disciplines. Previous experience in neuroimaging, optogenetics or psychopharmacology is highly desirable.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until 31 May 2021 in the first instance.
