The Department of Zoology encourages applications to join us as the first holder of the Claire Barnes Lectureship in Marine Biology. Your research will be in an area of Marine Biology that aligns with the Department of Zoology's existing research strengths in, for example, the broad areas of ecology, evolution, conservation biology or animal behaviour. You will have an excellent research record and be passionate about teaching.
The Department of Zoology (www.zoo.cam.ac.uk) provides an exciting research and teaching environment with a strong sense of cooperation and community. Our research covers a broad range of animal biology. We have excellent facilities to support both field and laboratory based experimental research together with theoretical work. The Department has an outstanding embedded Museum of Zoology and close links with the Cambridge Conservation Initiative (CCI). The Department has a thriving graduate student community and contributes to undergraduate courses across the Natural Sciences Tripos.
