The University Card Office provides identity and access photo cards to around 30,000 staff and students every year.
A 9 month secondment is available for an Administration Assistant (Card Office) to carry out duties in the University Card Services office. The position involves issuing University Cards on a daily basis to members of the University and associated institutions, creating records, checking personal information and explaining procedures and actions, either in person, via telephone or written communications. Much of the work is computer based with some general office duties also involved.
Ideally you will have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and previous experience of work using databases. You will have good customer service skills and be confident in dealing with large amounts of face to face, telephone, email and postal enquiries. An ability to work well under pressure and being able to prioritise your own workload is important. Experience in a front-line service environment is desirable, as are excellent communication skills.

Fixed-term: 9 Months.
