Clinical Research Associate or Research Associate (Fixed Term)

The Ovarian Cancer Programme in the Cancer Research UK Cambridge Centre is looking to appoint a Clinical Research Associate or a Research Associate to carry out a study investigating health care pathways for women diagnosed and treated for ovarian cancer in the Eastern Region.

We anticipate the project will involve a multi-model study design including the evaluation of electronic medical record data and audit.

The post would suit either a clinically or non-clinically qualified individual with an interest in health services research or public health research.

Depending on the qualifications and relevant experience of candidates opportunities are available for appointment as either:

-Clinical Research Associate - Clinical StR (£32,478 - £57,444)

-Research Associate - Grade 7 (non-clinical) £31,604 - £38,833

The University of Cambridge receives approximately £100m per annum for cancer related research across a wide variety of disciplines. Three University departments are specifically dedicated to cancer research: The Department of Oncology, the Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute and the MRC Cancer Unit, with world class laboratory facilities adjacent to Addenbrooke's Hospital. These departments are intimately linked with the Cancer Division of Cambridge University Hospital (CUH) which sees over 4,000 new cancer patients each year.

Appointment as a Clinical Research Associate requires the post holder to hold an Honorary Clinical Contract with the Trust. For appointment as a Research Associate the post holder will need to hold a Research Passport with the Trust.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 3 years in the first instance.
