Applications are invited for a post doctorate Research Associate position to be directed by Dr Xavier Moya.
The position is available from 1st of June 2018 for up to 4 months. The post will involve studying the cooling performance of barocaloric materials using a number of experimental techniques. The work is highly collaborative and the appointed Researcher will be expected to liaise with external national and international research groups.
Candidates should have a PhD in a relevant subject and a strong background in sample characterisation using calorimetry and x-ray diffraction. Preference will be given to candidates who have a detailed understanding of barocaloric materials, strong background in structural phase transitions, and extensive experience in high-pressure techniques.
