Research Associate - Trial Co-ordinator (Behavioural Science Group) (Fixed Term)

This position is part of a National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) research programme grant on developing and evaluating interventions to support medication adherence within the primary care, directed by Professor Stephen Sutton.

The main role of the post-holder will be to co-ordinate a medication adherence trial within primary care, including the following: ethics and research governance approval and reporting, data confidentiality, producing Standard Operating Procedures, monitoring adherence to recruitment procedures, monitoring data collection, assisting with dissemination of outputs and ensuring that trial is well conducted and keeps to schedule.

You will have a degree in Psychology or other relevant discipline or have equivalent experience, experience on study co-ordination or project management, excellent communication skills and computer literacy, ability to work independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice and of ethics and research governance would be an advantage, as would experience of primary care research. The use of a car is desirable because effective running of the research studies will involve visiting sites that may not be accessible by public transport. This role will require a basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check which will be applied for once the post-holder has commenced.
