The Department of Oncology and the Cancer Research UK Cambridge Centre is looking to appoint a full-time Graduate Training Programme Administrative Assistant. The successful candidate will be based within the Department of Oncology's central admin team in the Hutchison / MRC Research Centre on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus.
The candidate will provide administrative support to the Department's Graduate Training Programme Coordinator and will also provide support to the CRUK Cambridge Centre and the Department of Oncology, as required. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to; making travel arrangements, responding to email enquiries, organising events and meetings, distributing materials for meetings and seminars and assisting in the maintenance of publicity materials and resources.
Candidates will need good organisational and communication skills and be IT literate. They must also be able to work to deadlines and prioritise their own workload with minimum supervision. In addition, applicants should be able to demonstrate the ability to deal with all levels of staff and visitors, possess good time management skills and be able to use their own initiative.
Funds are in place to support this position for two years in the first instance.
