Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 3 years in the first instance.
We are looking for an HR Administrator to support predominantly professorial recruitment, as well as other senior appointments.
The role holder will be working closely with the Senior Appointments Administrator on preparation and managing the entire recruitment process. The successful candidate will ensure that recruitment administration is actioned in an efficient and timely manner. Responsibilities include among others: publishing adverts, collating and circulating applications and references, making arrangements for the meetings of Boards of Electors, preparation of supporting papers for Electors, maintaining database and archives, generating and sending letters. The role holder will also act as the first point of contact for the professorial recruitment process and keep track of the progress for each recruitment.
The successful candidate will have relevant administrative experience, ideally in HR, excellent IT and communication skills, be able to deliver a high level of customer service, and have the ability to plan and prioritise their workload. Experience of working in a Higher Education environment and some basic employment law knowledge would be an advantage.
Once an offer of employment has been accepted, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a basic disclosure (criminal records check) and a security check.
