Applications are invited for two Department for Transport (DfT) funded Research Associate positions starting at the beginning of March 2018. The successful candidates will be based in the Department of Psychology and will join the laboratory of Dr Greg Davis. The lab focuses on visual cognition, attention and awareness.
The successful candidates will be responsible for preparing, conducting and analysing visual search experiments. These experiments will develop enhanced training methods for training security staff at airports.
Applicants should have a PhD in Psychology and have experience recruiting and running adult participants in vision or attention experiments. Experience of programming experiments using Matlab or Python, particularly involving image manipulation, would be beneficial.
Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until 28 February 2019 in the first instance.
