Providing a high-level executive and administrative support service, the Executive Assistant will be required to manage the working day of the Director, using initiative and judgement to anticipate her needs to ensure the smooth operation of the day-to-day activities of the Directorate Office. The successful candidate will have first class organisational and administrative skills as well as proven experience of providing excellent diary management, managing and prioritising the work of someone at Director-level and draft, commission and prepare detailed briefing notes.
The Executive Assistant will also be an integral participant in developing processes within the Directorate Office and initiating discussion for improvements in working practices. Therefore, demonstrating effective team interaction, innovation and initiative will be essential.
The successful applicant will need to be educated to degree level or have relevant equivalent experience, and will possess excellent secretarial skills including word processing, dictation and diary management skills. The highest level of professionalism, discretion and diplomacy are required, along with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
