Applications are invited for the post of Graduate Funding Administrator based at the Department of Physics main site in JJ Thomson Avenue, West Cambridge site.
Reporting to the Graduate Education Manager, you will undertake administrative support for graduate funding activities related to applicants and current students. You will monitor and maintain studentship funding records, process funding memos/letters, prepare scoring data for funding competitions, provide administrative support to the Graduate Funding Committee (GFC) and support PIs in advertising studentships.
The post is part of the newly re-organised Graduate Office team, and provides a unique opportunity to work with the Graduate Education Manager in implementing significant organisational change and infrastructure within the Graduate Office, in order to assist the Department in implementing a proactive and strategic approach to maximising funding.
You will be educated to GCSE level grades A-C or equivalent / NVQ Level 2, or the equivalent level of practical experience. You will have excellent accuracy, numeracy and IT skills. Excellent organisational and planning skills are also essential requirements for the role together with the ability to work to tight deadlines, manage a busy workload and demonstrate a high level of attention to detail. Experience of working in a funding or accounts/finance role in the higher education sector would be advantageous.
