Applications are invited for the post of Graduate Recruitment Administrator based at the Department of Physics's main site in JJ Thomson Avenue, West Cambridge site.
Reporting to the Graduate Education Manager, you will provide specialised support for the recruitment of graduate students and student visitors. You will be the first point of administrative contact for supervisors wanting to recruit graduate students and visiting students, and responsible for monitoring competitor provision and advising on our portfolio as necessary. The role holder will also assist with routine admissions activity and be responsible for implementing recruitment and marketing activities.
The post is part of the newly re-organised Graduate Office team, and provides a unique opportunity to work with the Graduate Education Manager in implementing significant organisational change and infrastructure within the Graduate Office, in order to assist the Department in adopting a proactive and competitively strategic approach to brand.
You will be educated to at least A level standard or equivalent. GCSE English and Mathematics at Grade C or above, or equivalent. You will have excellent oral and written communication skills with comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of customer-oriented administration, including a range of electronic and online media platforms. Excellent organisational and event planning skills are also essential requirements for the role together with the ability to work to tight deadlines, manage a busy workload and demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Experience of working in marketing or recruitment in the higher education sector or within a research or scientific environment would be advantageous.
