Senior Laboratory Manager

Applications are invited for the full-time post of Senior Laboratory Manager based at Addenbrooke's Hospital on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus. The successful candidate will be required to work using their own initiative to provide management of the research laboratories to facilitate the smooth and effective support for teaching and research. Ideal candidates will be educated to HNC/Degree level in biological sciences. Budget management and communication skills will be key attributes. Relevant bench experience will be an advantage. Other duties/responsibilities are outlined in the Further Information document.

The Department of Pathology is organised into four divisions each run by an academic Head of Division, with local operational management the responsibility of the Laboratory Manager. The Senior Laboratory Manager post is responsible for the Divisions of Virology and Cellular Molecular Pathology. The group currently comprises a number of Academic staff, research associates, research assistants, secretaries, and PhD students. The research involves a wide range of molecular biological, cell biological, biochemical and histological techniques.

Once an offer of employment has been accepted, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a health assessment.
