A fully-funded 3.5-year studentship is available to study next generation heat transfer fluids. This project is with Professors Stuart Clarke (Chemistry/BP Iinstitute), Alex Routh (Chemical Engineering & Biotechnology, CEB /BP Institute) and Ian Wilson (CEB). The project is funded by Mitsubishi Electric, a major Japanese manufacturer of various products including heating, air conditioning and ventilation (HVAC) systems. This project will investigate the properties and behaviour of next-generation materials for renewable energy HVAC systems.
The research will include aspects of heat transfer, rheology and fluid flow amongst other areas.
Applicants for the studentship should have a First Class (or a high 2:1) degree in in chemistry, physics, mathematics, mechanical or chemical engineering.
