The Graduate Education Administrator will be responsible all aspects of graduate education support in the Department of Chemistry, including training, researcher development and associated budget, student presentation opportunities, open day, induction, e-resources and web pages for all areas relating to prospective or current graduate students.
The successful candidate will have excellent organisational skills. They will be an experienced user of standard software packages such as Word and Excel and also experienced at website editing and development. Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and interpersonal skills are essential, as is a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. They will also be self-motivated, positively use self-initiative and have the ability to meet deadlines under pressure with minimum supervision.
Candidates should be educated to HND/HNC, Level 4/5 vocational qualifications or equivalent level of practical experience. Administrative experience in Higher Education environment is essential and experience using the University Training Booking System, CamSIS, Drupal, Qualtrics and Moodle is highly desirable.
