The Faculty of Education seeks to appoint a Communications Manager. This is a new post in the Faculty.
The postholder will develop, implement and evaluate a communications strategy for the Faculty of Education in order to support its strategic plan and promote the Faculty's profile to a range of stakeholders. In the first instance, there will be an emphasis on support for the Faculty's research strategy but over time the postholder is expected to engage flexibly with a broad strategic remit to respond to the evolving needs of the Faculty.
We are seeking to appoint a person who can demonstrate experience of developing communication strategies and of creating a variety of communications across a range of media. The field of education can be one of rapid change, and is subject to external pressure and regulation; we are seeking to appoint a person who can understand current issues in education and who is able to work proactively within this environment.
