Accounts Clerk (Part Time)


We are seeking a part-time accounts clerk to be involved in a range of accounting and financial procedures in the Department, particularly assisting the Principal Accounts Clerk with purchasing and, during busy periods, processing invoices.

This is an interesting post calling for accuracy, good numeracy and keyboard skills. Experience of accounts work is essential and preferably a qualification in finance administration. The successful applicant will be educated to A level or equivalent, AAT level 3 would be suitable. Experience of University finance system (CUFS) including Marketplace would be an advantage but training will also be given.

The person appointed must play a full part as a member of the Department's team of support staff, covering for others where necessary, and will have excellent time management and organisational skills, be diplomatic and approachable with the ability to be firm when necessary.

The position is for 16 hrs/week, hours can be discussed but we envisage 4hrs/day over perhaps 4 days/week.
