Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 36 months in the first instance.
You will prepare equipment, materials and specimens and set up computers for undergraduate practical classes and assessments and assist Heads of Class and Demonstrators, engaging with the undergraduates during the practical classes. In addition, an important aspect of the role is to keep the teaching equipment in good repair by carrying out or arranging maintenance and servicing, keep sufficient supplies of consumables in stock, assist in the development of practicals and undertake Portable Appliance Testing in the Class and elsewhere in the Department.
You will have a BTEC or equivalent in a scientific or mechanical subject, confidence in using PC computer programmes and good communication and organisational skills.
