The Board of Electors, to the Professorship of Clinical Microbiology, invite applications for this Professorship. The successful candidate will have an outstanding research record of international stature in any aspect of microbiology broadly construed. They will have the vision, leadership, experience and enthusiasm to build on current strengths in maintaining and developing a leading research presence in the field. Applicants will be clinically qualified and able to contribute to the NHS Medical Microbiology service, joining a team of outstanding clinicians and scientists working in complementary areas.
Standard professorial duties include research, contribution to clinical service delivery, teaching, examining, supervision and administration. The Professor will be based on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus. A competitive salary will be offered.
