Applications are invited for the full-time post of Information Assistant at the University of Cambridge Careers Service.
We are looking for a lively, enthusiastic and outgoing person to join the Careers Service Information Team. You will provide information services to students and graduates, and develop, maintain, and catalogue a large body of constantly changing careers material. You will also be involved in administering the daily student interview timetables for Careers Advisers. As a member of the Information Team you will provide the front line, human face of the Careers Service. You will liaise with students in person and by telephone, listen to them in order to understand their needs, and where appropriate answer their queries.
You will be committed to providing a high standard of service and have had some prior experience in a marketing, communicating, information, student or customer support role. You could have gained your experience either within education or beyond. Organisational, team working and communication skills are vital, as are excellent IT skills, with current experience of Microsoft Office, social media, and web page creation. You should have an understanding and personal appreciation of career issues faced by graduates or student-facing experience in higher education.
Once an offer of employment has been accepted, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a health assessment.
