University of Cambridge Museums Marketing Administrative Assistant
Fixed term: 6 months Part time: 20 hours a week, worked Monday to Friday, 9am to 1pm
£22,214 - £25,728 pro-rata
University of Cambridge Museums (UCM) is a consortium of the eight University Museums, which works in partnership with the Cambridge University Botanic Garden and other Cambridge University Collections. Major Partner Museum funding form Arts Council England is enabling the consortium to transform access to the exceptional collections and research resources of the University Museums.
Substantial digital innovation, high profile exhibitions, imaginative learning programmes and effective marketing across the University museums and with wider cultural partners are reaching and benefiting audiences locally, regionally, nationally and internationally.
Based at the Fitzwilliam Museum, this is a new and exciting opportunity to provide administrative and marketing support for the UCM Team, facilitating the efficient and effective delivery of a wide programme for a period of six months in 2018. This part-time role would best suit a talented, enthusiastic, hard-working and well-organised individual who has the ability to work on their own initiative, prioritise work, maintain accuracy, confidentiality and work to tough deadlines. IT packages required include Word, Excel, Access and Outlook.
They will also be natural team players with self-motivation, commitment and willingness to learn and to develop new skills and to assume responsibilities for a wide variety of sometimes complex issues.
Interest in and commitment to the work of museums and cultural organisations would be welcomed.
Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 6 months in the first instance.
