HR Coordinator (Fixed Term or Secondment Opportunity - Internal Applicants only)

The Sainsbury Laboratory is a research institute focusing on plant developmental biology and computational modelling of plant development. The Institute currently has approximately 150 researchers and 30 support staff.

Applications are invited for a fixed term or secondment position of HR Coordinator to work alongside the current role-holder and be responsible for a full range of HR tasks in line with Cambridge University policies, processes and procedures.

Candidates must be educated to a minimum of A-level standard (including GCSE English and Maths) and have previous HR experience of the University HR Systems. A willingness to learn is essential, alongside a basic knowledge of employment law and principles of best HR practice.

The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills, with a positive, service-oriented, can-do attitude. They will be able to work independently as well as within a team and have a pro-active approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving. Attention to detail, ability to maintain confidentiality and effective time management are essential for this role.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until 15 June 2018 in the first instance. This is an ideal internal secondment opportunity.

The post is full-time and available immediately.
