Undergraduate Teaching Administrator (Secondment opportunity for internal candidates only)

We are seeking to recruit a highly-organised and motivated person for this busy and varied role in teaching administration.

The post-holder provides overall organisational support to the Departmental Teaching Co-ordinator, Course Organisers, Examiners and other academic staff in relation to all NST courses to which the Department of Plant Sciences contributes, and in managing related teaching resources.

They act as Secretary to the Department Teaching Committee and Management and Consultative Committees for undergraduate courses, drafting agendas, preparing papers, and taking minutes. The post-holder is the first point of contact for undergraduate student queries, compiling and updating web-based resources, and overseeing production of course handbooks. They provide support with examination administration including Part II Plant Sciences.

The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, able to liaise effectively with staff and students. They will have strong IT skills, familiarity with University systems including Moodle, and experience of Committee servicing.

This secondment opportunity is available from 29 January 2018 for 12 months.
