We seek a talented researcher to join a new four year Wellcome funded work programme on behaviour change.
The successful post-holder will join a new team to develop and lead a series of planned activities to help forge collaborative relationships between policy makers and researchers in order to maximise the implementation of evidence generated by our research programme on changing behaviour by re-designing environments. This post provides an exceptional opportunity for a researcher wanting to develop or extend their research on the relationship between evidence and policy, working with leading UK researchers in this area. This will include being a Visiting Fellow to SKAPE - Centre for Science, Knowledge and Policy at the University of Edinburgh with Dr Katherine Smith, a member of the Implementation Advisory Panel for this programme of research.
Main duties and responsibilities of the job
Leading on: designing and conducting a formative evaluation to contribute to the growing number of case studies describing the relationship between evidence and policy, the day-to-day running of an Implementation Advisory Panel, and co-ordinating international meetings and public engagement activities.
Candidates should have a PhD (or equivalent) in sociology, psychology or related disciplines. It is essential that you have skills in (a) qualitative research (b) writing for peer-reviewed publications.
