Course Co-ordinator for EPSRC Centre of Doctoral Training for Sensor Technology and PA for the Director of the Cambridge Infinitus Research Centre


The purpose of the role is to provide administrative support for the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) in Sensor Technologies and Applications (ca 50%) and for the director of the Cambridge Infinitus Research Centre (CIRCE) (ca 50%). Both initiatives are directed by Prof. Clemens Kaminski ( http://laser.ceb.cam.ac.uk/ ).

The post holder will provide essential administrative support to the Centre Director and management teams of both centres and play an essential role in delivering complex programmes in education and research. The post holder will work in a dynamic, exciting and creative environment and be part of a motivated and friendly team, which meets frequently to take decisions and to 'think of solutions together'. The role requires organisation of research meetings, budgets, co-ordination of courses, handling sensitive data and communication with senior members of staff from academia and industry. The post holder will also organise travel arrangements, keep diaries, and take minutes at meetings.

Excellent organisational, communication, and team working skills are essential requirements for the post, as is administrative experience in Higher Education or similar environment.
