This post is based at the Department of Public Health and Primary Care which is home to over 350 staff and students across seven research groups. This post will sit in the central administrative team lead by the Business & Operations Manager. This post will be line managed by the Impact Manager and work closely with the Communications Assistant to ensure all information is disseminated efficiently. They will work closely with the department's staff to support, advise and train individuals at all levels on all aspects of research publications.
The overall purpose of this role is to support the researchers and staff of the Department of Public Health and Primary Care by implementing research information processes, including training staff, and monitoring compliance. The post holder will take the lead in implementing systems to ensure the department is well-informed and able to report information relating to the outputs and impacts of its research to our stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will be educated to at least A level standard or equivalent. They will have a competency in MS Office software packages and strong organisational skills. They must have the ability to prioritise their own workload and have well developed problem solving skills. They must have experience of conducting training sessions or hosting seminars for groups of people and strong, professional communication skills both written and verbal. Familiarity with academic publication processes is desirable as well as experience using Symplectic Elements and Researchfish.
The funds for these posts are available until 31st December 2020.
