Gift Services Manager (Fixed Term)


The University of Cambridge Development and Alumni Relations (CUDAR) Office is the alumni relations and fundraising arm of the University, responsible for raising major philanthropic gifts and building and sustaining lifelong links between Cambridge and its worldwide community of more than 300,000 alumni and supporters. CUDAR also holds overall responsibility for coordinating University-wide development campaigns and raising funds to support Schools, faculties, departments and other central University institutions. Development and Alumni Relations works closely with Cambridge's 31 Colleges and its sister office, Cambridge in America, to maximise fundraising from a range of constituencies across the globe.

Cambridge University Development and Alumni Relations office is currently looking to recruit a Gift Services Manager. This new role will be responsible for;

  • Contributing to and implementing a gift services and settlement strategy to ensure success against agreed performance indicators;

  • Development and execution of operational plans to deliver the strategy and leading a team to deliver against these;

  • On-going review and development of gift service processes, procedures, controls and systems to ensure efficiencies and customer experience are at the forefront of all activities;

  • Scoping exercise to determine requirements for centralised gift processing.

    Applicants for the Gift Services Manager role should be educated to degree level and have a professional Accounting qualification. Experience of working in large and complex organisations and leading a team to deliver timely outcomes is desirable. In addition, applicants should have meticulous attention to detail; the ability to prioritise their own and team workloads particularly in the face of unplanned urgent tasks and, be an effective written and oral communicator.
