Stores/Purchasing Assistant


Applications are invited for the post of Stores/ Purchasing Assistant in the Department of Physiology, Development and Neuroscience (PDN).

PDN is a one of the largest departments in the University of Cambridge with over 200 staff. As the Stores/ Purchasing Assistant you will work as part of a friendly team of five and be supervised by the Research Grants Administrator. The main duties include the procurement of goods and services on behalf of the Department and/or research groups in order to ensure smooth running of the purchasing service and to support the Accounts team in the preparation of documents for transaction processing.

The ideal candidate will have GCSE Maths and English/NVQ level 2 or equivalent level of practical experience, be enthusiastic, adaptable and able to provide a friendly and efficient service at all times.

Once an offer of employment has been accepted, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a health assessment.
