Radiopharmacy Technologist (Fixed Term)


The Department of Radiology is looking to appoint a Radiopharmacy Technologist.

The post holder will be a member of the Department of Radiology and the Wolfson Brain Imaging Centre Radiopharmaceutical Unit (RPU) and the Radiopharmacy at Addenbrooke's Hospital Nuclear Medicine Department (ARP). This post is funded by the CRUK Cambridge Centre and will help to develop the cancer imaging programme on the biomedical campus (e.g. Addenbrooke's' Hospital and the Wolfson Brain Imaging Centre), as well as working with internal and external collaborators.

The role will involve production and Quality Assurance of clinical grade novel radiopharmaceuticals in a clean room environment for research projects, as part of the CRUK Cambridge Centre cancer imaging programme. In particular, the post will focus on novel PET probe development and the radiosynthesis and application of metal radionuclide pharmaceuticals. These radiopharmaceuticals will be used in both preclinical and clinical studies. The post holder will be expected to have a high level of problem-solving skills and work autonomously when required.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until 31 March 2022 in the first instance.
