The Cambridge Development and Alumni Relations (CUDAR) office seeks an ambitious major gifts fundraiser who possesses the ability to help develop long-term holistic partnerships with high-level donors aiming to secure financial support from individual and institutional funders across the UK. The Development Associate is a member of the Major Gifts fundraising team contributing to the design and execution of the Regional Programmes, University-Wide fundraising strategy.
Reporting to the Senior Associate Director ¿ Regional Programmes, and working closely with the broader Major Gifts team, you will generate six- and seven-figure gifts from individuals, trusts and foundations, and/or corporations across the UK. You will manage a complex prospect pool prospects, and will therefore work directly with some of the University's most capable donors and volunteers.
We are looking for a candidate with a proven track record in major gift fundraising and/or management of key relationships with donors. A strategic thinker, you will be capable of building strong relationships with high-value potential partners and senior academic stakeholders. You should have outstanding communication and social skills, and an ability to communicate complex concepts and ideas to variety of audiences. A creative and collaborative approach will be critical, as will be a passion for the research and educational mission of the University of Cambridge.
This role requires working outside of regular office hours, and frequent UK as well as occasional overseas travel.
