The Medical Library is looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused new team member.
As the successful candidate, you will be managing the day to day library accounts, and will be joining a library team providing high quality service to meet the needs of users working in medical education, biomedical research and health practice.
You will be a full member of the Library's reader services team, with regular enquiry desk duties. Your accounts duties will include the processing of payments and income, using the Cambridge University Finance System (CUFS), purchasing stationery and equipment, ordering books, and the maintenance of accounts for library users.
There are opportunities to work collaboratively with colleagues in libraries throughout University of Cambridge as well as local NHS libraries.
You should have a helpful and supportive attitude, and be a good team worker with excellent organisational, numeracy, and IT skills. As you will be working at our busy Enquiry Desk, so you will also possess excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Accounting experience is essential, library experience is preferred.
Maternity cover: This post is fixed-term for 10 months or the return of the post holder, whichever is the earlier.
