The Cancer Research UK Cambridge Centre (CCC) is seeking to recruit a Programme Manager to support the Cancer Imaging Programme. This is an exciting new position, and the Programme Manager will work directly with the Programme Leads, Professor Kevin Brindle and Dr Ferdia Gallagher, in managing the programme specific duties and responsibilities and, in particular, in taking two new imaging probes into the clinic. This Programme Manager will also work directly with the CRUK Cambridge Centre administrative office in meeting the strategic goals of the Centre and liaising with the office and other programme and project managers in the Centre.
The role will include monitoring of programme objectives against milestones, co-ordination of resources, meeting management and support to Programme Leads. Supporting grant applications and monitoring grant expenditure will also form part of the role. Other activities will be agreed at Programme level. The Programme Manager will also work directly with the CRUK Cambridge Centre administrative office in meeting the strategic goals of the Centre and liaising with the office and other programme and project managers in the Centre.
Applicants will ideally have a degree in a relevant subject or equivalent. In addition, they will have organisation skills, programme management experience, and previous exposure to clinical or translational research. Experience of imaging studies is desirable but not essential. Applicants should be able to demonstrate verbal and written communication skills, a systematic and rigorous approach to work, and the ability to work in a team.
