The Vasculitis & Lupus Research group within the Department of Medicine is the academic branch of the Clinical Vasculitis & Lupus Service, under the directorship of the Professor of Clinical Autoimmunity. We are an expanding, busy academic and clinical research team, with many national and international collaborators. We run a number of clinical trials and other research projects in Vasculitis and Lupus, which are both rare autoimmune diseases. We also host a number of meetings seminars and courses which attract regional, national and international interest.
As part of our expansion, we are now seeking a part-time PA/Secretary who can provide a full spectrum of PA/secretarial and administrative tasks. This newly created post would suit a dynamic, organised, IT-literate individual who can demonstrate interpersonal and communication skills, and apply these to ensure the efficient and smooth running of the group. The post-holder would primarily act as the PA/Secretary for the Professor of Clinical Autoimmunity, including diary keeping and being the main point of contact. The role also involves carrying out administrative duties for the research group, including assistance with the organisation of internal and external educational events, arranging appropriate documentation for visiting overseas researchers, and providing some administrative support to the NHS clinical vasculitis & Lupus service.
This is a part time post, for 22 hours per week. Days/times are flexible and can be discussed.
