We are looking for an experienced manager and strategic thinker to join our team at a senior level. The Donor Relations Manager is responsible for overseeing the stewardship of donors to the University, guiding the strategy and implementing the related processes and policies, and ensures donors receive meaningful recognition of their philanthropic gifts.
The University of Cambridge Development and Alumni Relations Office has an outstanding track record of securing philanthropic income and has overall responsibility for coordinating University-wide development campaigns, raising funds to support schools, faculties, departments and other central University institutions. Development and Alumni Relations works closely with Cambridge's 31 Colleges and its sister office, Cambridge in America, to maximise fundraising from a range of constituencies across the globe.
The successful candidate will have a good understanding of the importance of stewardship and its role in successful fundraising. A highly competent communicator, you will have developed excellent organisational skills, successfully delivered projects from concept to execution, have a keen eye for detail and work well with others at all levels. With substantial experience of relationship building, and account or client management, you will have a natural enthusiasm to act as the steward of our donors and their gifts. .
