Administrator[Temporary Cover] (Maternity Cover)


Maternity cover: This post is fixed-term for 12 months or the return of the post holder, whichever is the earlier.

Administrator Centre of Islamic Studies, University of Cambridge, Sidgwick Avenue site, CB3 9DA

£25,728 - £29,799 per annum

We are looking for an all-round administration professional to support the activities of the Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Centre of Islamic Studies. You should have a proven track record of administrative experience preferably within a HE or commercial environment. You will need to be flexible and adaptable, used to working independently but dealing with a wide range of people and institutions. Highly organised, you will be able to manage a variety of work streams within a diverse and fast-moving team. You will provide a high level of administrative support to the Director and his team. You will organise academic seminars, assist in the organisation of conference and outreach events, managing finances in accordance with the University's financial regulations, developing the website, negotiating with suppliers, managing correspondence and records, and supporting the Centre's Visiting Fellows and partner institutions. You will be expected to demonstrate a dynamic approach to the development of this exciting centre of academic research.
