The Department of Geography wishes to appoint a suitably qualified individual to provide maternity cover for the role of Undergraduate Administrator from around 5 February 2018. The post is available for one year or until the return of the current post-holder, whichever is sooner.

This role provides administrative support to the Director and Assistant Directors of Undergraduate Studies, Chair of the Undergraduate Teaching Committee, Chair of the Staff/Student Committee and Chairs of the two Examination Boards in overseeing all aspects of the departmental undergraduate teaching and examining programmes.
The successful candidate will have previous administrative experience, preferably in an educational environment, excellent organisational skills, a proven ability to work proactively and both autonomously and in collaboration with others. Educated to at least A Level standard, they will need a good level of oral and written communication skills, diplomacy, tact and the ability to deal with a range of people at all levels, together with good ICT and keyboard skills, competence in using MS Office applications, and experience of committee support and minute-taking.
