This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the leading Stroke Research Groups both within the UK and internationally, and make a real difference to patient care.
We are looking for someone to join our Stroke Clinical Trials Group. The post-holder would assist with administration of a number of clinical trials and studies in stroke, under the supervision of a Senior Clinical Trials Manager. This would be an excellent introduction to clinical stroke for a recent science graduate. No previous experience in clinical trials is essential. This post is designed both to provide assistance to the Clinical Trials Group, and also provide an opportunity for a more junior researcher to gain experience in clinical research and study administration. The Department has an excellent track record in training junior researchers and there may be opportunities for career development within the Stroke Research Group after this post. During the post we would encourage the post-holder to take responsibility for one particular clinical trial or study.
Current trials/studies in the group include, PRESERVE, DNA Lacunar, VIST and TASTE. Many of our studies are multi-centre and international and involve liaising with sites throughout the country and abroad. Details of our research can be found on (http://www.neurology.cam.ac.uk/neurology-unit-research-groups/stroke-research-group/) AND (http://www.cambridgestroke.com/).
Informal enquiries can be directed to Prof. Hugh Markus: firstname.lastname@example.org
Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 12 months in the first instance.
