The Cancer Research UK Cambridge Centre is seeking to recruit a Programme Manager to support the Early Detection Programme. This is an exciting new position, and the Programme Manager will work directly with the Programme Director, Professor Rebecca Fitzgerald, and co-lead Dr Sarah Bohndiek, in managing the programme specific duties and responsibilities. This Programme Manager will also work directly with the CRUK Cambridge Centre administrative office in meeting the strategic goals of the Centre and liaising with the office and other programme and project managers in the Centre.
The Programme Manager will provide assistance with overall Programme strategy: helping draft strategic documents; with grant writing and submission; oversight of website's design and ongoing maintenance; overseeing the co-ordination of the large portfolio of clinical and translational studies; overseeing and organising the annual Visiting Professor and Annual Retreat; liaison of major projects; liaison with Industry; chairing team meetings; contribute to meetings and workshops as part of the Centre Project Management team in order to share best practice.
It would be desirable for applicants to have a relevant post-graduate qualification or equivalent. In addition, they will have organisation skills, management experience, knowledge of governance and regulatory aspects of trial management, and problem solving ability. Applicants should be able to demonstrate verbal and written communication skills, a systematic and rigorous approach to work, and the ability to work in a team.
