Research Associate (Fixed Term)


Applicants are invited for a one year (initially) Research Associate position in the pulmonary vascular disease group funded by grants from the Medical Research Council and British Heart Foundation awarded to Professor Nicholas Morrell.

The project will be to investigate the mechanisms of causal mutations in new genes identified in patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) as part of the recently completed Bioresource Rare Diseases whole genome sequencing study in 1250 index cases with PAH.

The position requires a post-doctoral (or equivalent) scientist with excellent laboratory skills and experience in molecular and cell biology. Experience with in vivo models of PAH would be an advantage.

The post is available from 1st February 2018.
