The Institute is a world-leading centre of excellence in stem cell biology and regenerative medicine, supported by the Wellcome Trust and the Medical Research Council. The Institute comprises over 300 scientists whose research spans fundamental science through to clinical applications. Our vision is to develop a deep understanding of stem cell biology for the prevention and treatment of human disease. The role will be based in the Wellcome Trust - Medical Research Council Cambridge Stem Cell Institute on Tennis Court Road until the Institute relocates in 2018 to a new purpose-built institute on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus.

Overall, the Institute aims to have highly visible public engagement woven into all aspects of our scientific research.
The Public Engagement Assistant will support the delivery of PE events and activities led by Institute researchers, from logistics and planning through to promotion and delivery, including production of accompanying print/digital materials where necessary. The post holder will also be responsible for coordinating a series of PE skills training workshops and talks for Institute staff, and will support the collection and analysis of PE data.
