Applications are invited for the post of Quality Assurance Administrator within the Education Division of the School of Clinical Medicine, based on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus. The role holder will join the Division's Deanery Team which is responsible for the day-to-day planning, implementation and review of all aspects of medical teaching at the Clinical School.
This role consists of three main elements: 1) administrative support to the quality assurance processes for the University's medical courses which includes organising the annual programme of quality assurance visits to the teaching hospitals in the region, 2) administrative support for the continued professional development of all teaching staff, and 3) providing support to the wider activities of the Deanery team including the organisation of events throughout the academic year. The ideal candidate will be educated to A Level standard or equivalent and requires previous administration experience, preferably in a Higher Education environment. They will possess excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, strong prioritisation skills with an adaptable and flexible work ethic, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with individuals at all levels of seniority both internal and external to the University, and to deal sensitively with students and staff. Previous experience of working within the University of Cambridge and/or the NHS, and/or in the area of quality assurance, is desirable. The post holder will occasionally need to travel to teaching hospitals around the East Anglia region.
