The Faculty of HSPS is seeking to appoint a Senior Accounts Clerk to join its Finance Team. The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for the accounts in the McDonald Institute and the Dept. of Archaeology and Anthropology, but they will also be involved in all aspects of the accounting and financial procedures for the Faculty.
You will be educated to A level and with GCSE English and Maths, Grade C or above, and an AAT qualification or experience of working in financial administration. A good working knowledge of MS Excel is essential. Ideally you will be familiar with use of Oracle on-line financial systems although full training will be given to the right person with a keen aptitude for learning and taking on new skills.
Good written, communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is a patient attitude, tact, diplomacy and the ability to work as a proactive team player.
You must be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, whilst achieving accuracy and paying attention to detail. You will also be required to work on your own initiative within the scope of your role.
