Kettle's Yard is seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Venue Hire & Events Coordinator to launch our new venue hire venture.
The Venue Hire & Events Coordinator (VHEC) is a new post created with the purpose of providing an added income stream from the hiring of Kettle's Yard's new spaces. The purpose of the role is to develop, and then maximize, the income generated from venue hire and ensure the smooth operation of all events at Kettle's Yard.
Prior to the re-opening of Kettle's Yard in 2018, the role holder will undertake a period of research to develop a marketing, pricing, sales and booking strategy for companies and individuals. The role holder will actively seek new clients and opportunities, as well as deal with all enquiries relating to hires and events.
Once underway this strategy will continue to be developed alongside the more day to day work of coordinating and running events. The VHEC will manage the internal booking system, liaise with clients and manage events (in conjunction with other staff members). While it is not expected that the VHEC will attend all events there will be an element of evening work.
The successful candidate will have experience in the venue hire and events field, be personable, motivated by the mission and values of Kettle's Yard and keen to contribute to its success.
The post is part-time (0.75 FTE). Funding for the post is available for two years in the first instance.
