The Institute has been established with the aim of co-ordinating some of the leading research activities in the field of public policy. Launching in early 2018 it will take a lead in the rethinking of public policy as an academic field of study, and bring together University researchers working across broad disciplinary boundaries. The Institute will ensure a more concerted conversation and focus within the University, becoming a highly visible centre of excellence both within the UK and internationally.
The Institute has a number of events planned which will need careful management and execution, it is also very important that the Institute communicates effectively with its wide range of stakeholders. We are therefore looking for an Events and Communications Administrator to manage these two aspects of the Institute. The role is part-time for 18.25 hours per week (0.5FTE).
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate good events management skills and have experience of communicating with a wide range of audiences. A positive outlook and the ability to pay close attention to detail are key in this role, along with some flexibility around working hours when there are late/evening events.
